Joint Meeting With Shiner Rotary

On Wednesday, April 7, the Rotary Club of Yoakum joined the Rotary Club of Shiner at Werner's Restaurant for a joint meeting. The speaker was Amber Scarborough from the Rotary Club of South Austin. In addition to serving as the new District Chair of RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) Camp, she serves on the Public Relations Team of District 5870. PR team member Patrick Harrison also attendedWednesday's meeting. Ms. Scarborough's presentation detailed ways in which clubs in District 5870 can promote their projects and identify local clubs as community leaders in service to their area as well as educating the public about the global projects and purpose of Rotary Internal. A question and answer session followed the program. Shiner Rotary President, Brad Oden, closed the meeting with the RI Four-Way Test.
